Duramax Truck Cranks Out The Power
The redesigned Duramax Truck 6.6 liter engine's torque and horsepower were increased while emissions were reduced with the implementation of an iron strengthened cylinder block in the Duramax Truck as well as a greatly reduced compression ratio. This much lower compression ratio for the Duramax Truck decreases the amount of strain on the engine by lessening the peak firing combustion pressure in the cylinder. While earlier diesel engines relied on high compression ratios exceeding 21:1 in some cases, General Motors engineers have understood that the engineering of a lower compression ratio in a Duramax Truck turbo diesel engine has significant advantages.
Duramax Trucks Are Solid "Like A Rock"
Duramax Trucks feature combustion efficiency unlike any other diesel engine. This Duramax Truck function allows the burning of greater amounts of fuel and reduces Nitrogen Oxide emissions. By combusting more fuel in the Duramax Truck, it has the effect that the Duramax Truck is more fuel efficient; the Duramax Truck generates more horsepower; and the Duramax Truck develops stump pulling torque. Everyone knows more fuel equals greater power in a Duramax Truck! This Duramax Trucks' low compression feature also serves to reduce vibration and noise, producing smoother and quieter engines of all the Duramax Truck variants.
Duramax Diesel Trucks' Variable Geometry Turbo
The turbo system of the Duramax Diesel Trucks also provides a feature which, combined with the variable-geometry turbocharger, provides exhaust braking. This new Duramax Truck function can be added to some medium duty pickup trucks in order to eliminate the need for added exhaust brake equipment. This new braking system is commanded by the Duramax Diesel Trucks' engine controller signals and can be triggered by the Duramax Truck vehicle operator.
Diesel Duramax Truck Has Reduced Emissions
An enhanced variable-geometry turbocharger provides creates a more pleasant-to-use Diesel Duramax Truck 6.6 liter engine. Aerodynamic enhancements to the vanes of the turbo allow more controlled and precise function of turbo power in order to offer immediate and seamless response when full throttle is applied. With an RPM of as much as 120,000, the turbo comes balanced for high speed in order to reduce resonance and vibration and adding to the overall refinement and smoothness of the Duramax Truck engine. Furthermore, the redesigned Diesel Duramax Truck turbo reduces emissions while maintaining a maximum boost of 20 psi.
Duramax Diesel Truck Feature Attractive Styling
The General Motors lineup of Duramax Diesel Truck 3500 and 2500HD pickup Duramax Truck models for the 2005 model year was truly noteworthy in the automotive industry. Progressive changes to the exterior styling of the Duramax Truck as well as to the electrical/mechanical systems were made to improve functionality and increase the satisfaction of Duramax Diesel Truck owners; and the models for 2005 definitely reflect that tradition.
Chevy Duramax Truck Runs With Its Gas Powered Stablemate
While the 3500 and 2500HD pickup trucks are something to behold, the specs of the powertrain for the gas-powered engine driving these light and heavy duty trucks, in addition to those driven by the Diesel 6600 Chevy Duramax Truck, are quite impressive as well. Both engines are supremely powerful, produce ample horsepower and torque and get excellent class leading fuel economy. In 2004, an electric sunroof package with overhead console was offered on Crew Cab and Extended models. All light duty pickup trucks, other than those with Quadrasteer, came standard with anti-lock front disc and rear drum brakes. The rear braking systems on the 3500 and 2500HD Duramax Truck models came equipped with standard rear disc brakes. Chevrolet 3500 and 2500HD pickup trucks in the model year 2005 came with 16 inch wheels, a standard 145-amp alternator and a newly designed grille and hood for the heavy duty Duramax Truck. It just goes to prove that you can't go wrong in a Chevy Duramax Truck! |
