Duramax Fuel Management By Bosch

The Duramax Fuel management mechanisms are truly state of the art. The result of a collaboration over years between the engineers at General Motors and Bosch, the electronic driver unit manages the Duramax fuel rail's pressure in order to allow for meticulously correct fuel metering. From the electronic driver unit, the Duramax Fuel is then channeled through into a Duramax Fuel filter which is engine mounted. This special Duramax Fuel filter has a heating unit incorporated within it, as well as two elements which help to separate any water from the fuel: a water sensor to determine the presence of water and a water separator to remove it from the fuel prior to the Duramax Fuel being injected into the combustion chamber.

Duramax Fuel Filter Purifies The Diesel

In order to avoid diesel fuel waxing the heater of the Duramax Fuel Filter is able to warm up the diesel fuel to approximately 14 degrees centigrade. Once the Duramax Fuel has been so treated it then is delivered to the high pressure pump. The Bosch pump, which operates under extremely high pressures, delivers the Duramax Fuel to the injector rails and controls and manages variable pressures in this system up to 23,000 psi at which time it is then delivered to the injectors located at each and every cylinder. Duramax Diesel Fuel Injection Is Precise

The Duramax Diesel Fuel injector with a consistent pressure being fed into it, can now be in an open state, remain open and then be closed at the exact moment directed by the electronics. The injector is configured with a spray pattern that is designed to match the combustion chamber and is located in the optimal position in the cylinder head itself for maximum Duramax Fuel Economy. The Duramax 6600 diesel engine employs a process that is known to engineers as pilot injection to maximize Duramax Fuel Mileage. The Duramax 6.6L pilot injection is a process whereby the injection of a tiny amount of diesel Duramax Fuel is executed prior to the main injection of fuel into the cylinder. The process where the electronic controls manage the precise time the quantity of pilot injection, the duration of pilot injection and the main charges from the injection system is extremely complex and contributes to the superlative Duramax Fuel Mileage.

Pilot Injection Provides Excellent Duramax Diesel Fuel Economy

Thanks to pilot injection, combustion is able to be activated on a somewhat smaller scale but this combustion is guided and managed so that it rapidly builds up until full and complete combustion of the charge of fuel and air is completed in order to provide the notable and enviable Duramax Diesel Fuel Economy.
